Discussion Program on Psycho-Social Counseling for Earthquake Victims held in CCRI

An Interaction Program on the issue involving the psycho-social counseling for the victims of the devastating earthquake of April 23, 2015 took place in CCRI, Kathmandu on June 8, 2015. 

The interaction was lead by John P. J. Dussich, Ph.D. and the Director of  Tokiwa International Victimology Institute, Japan and also the  Professo rat Graduate School of Victimology, Tokiwa University and California State University Fresno, USA. Prof. Dussich made a presentation on how victims of the natural disasters could be counseled by accessing the expectations of such victims. The interaction took place with the participation of law students from different law schools of Nepal, representatives from diferent civil society organization involved in humanitarian assistance and journalists from radio and television. 

The presentation of Prof. Dussich was subsequently followed by the presentation of Mr. Tanka Aryal, Executive Director of CCRI on how to implement the approaches of psycho-social counseling in Nepali context.
