The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 allowed the disclosure, under the Right to Information Act 2005, of answer sheets of students of any examination conducted by any agency in India. A Bench of Justices R.V. Raveendran and A.K. Patnaik gave this ruling, upholding a Calcutta High Court order permitting students to inspect and photocopy their answer sheets in any educational or professional examination.

Supreme Court of Nepal has given landmark and historical verdict in regard to implementation of Right to Information in Nepal on 4th May, 2011. The Supreme Court stated that the examinees have their right to see the attested examination answer sheet in recognition of the Right to Information.

Citizen's Campaign for Right to Information (CCRI) organized one day training workshop on Right to Information (RTI) to the Information Officer on January 16, 2011. The program was locally coordinated by Appellate Bar Association Surkhet. Representing different public bodies' total 25 participants attended the training workshop.
