One day RTI Orientation to Youths, Women and Consumers

Humanitarian Organization for People and Ecology (HOPE Nepal) in close coordination with CCRI and NIC and partnership with sevel strategic partners and RTI Network Bhaktapur and Wada Nagaric Munch Bode has attempted a great event on "Right to Information Orientation (RTI) to Youth, Women and Customers" at Bode in Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur today ( 5th Nov, 2014) . It has been realized that the program was great fully success towards outputs. The program was facilitated by Mr. Khila Nath Sapkota, Executive Director of HOPE Nepal and assisted by Raju kaiti. Mr. Sapkota delivered his training subjected on meaning and importance of RTI, RTI Law in Nepal, practices of using RTI Law , information seeking process, RTI application writing, some success stories of RTI campaigning, some information and role of RTI Center etc. At last it was concluded by Raju Kaiti by making to all participants to write a sample application each. Altogether 42 participants from divers sector were participated the program including Ward secretaries, leaders of women groups, youth clubs representatives, teachers, lawyers, students, political representatives. All participants are seemed to be enthusiastic for seeking information from public organizations, promoting RTI law, applying/using RTI law and establishing transparent, accountable and responsive public bodies. Each participant got a commitment to apply at list 5 RTI application to concerned offices seeking for public information and also agreed to create a great vibration of RTI at Bhaktapur. In this regards, we have felt the program has been highly successful.
