An "Implementation of Right to Information: A self help book targeting to Chief of Public Agencies" has been published by CCRI. This book is written by Tanka Aryal and Nayan Bahadur Khadka. One thousand copies of this self help book are published in Nepali language in its first edition which consist three chapters and 48 pages.

 

The core content of this book is the duties and responsibilities of Chief of the Public Agencies for implementing Right to Information laws. The laws very clearly say that Information officer and Chief of the Public Agencies are the sole responsible for implementing RTI laws. The role of Chief of the Public Agencies has been clearly described in this book as prescribed by Right to Information Act 2007 and Regulation 2008.

 

This book has been published with a view that it will be helpful for the Chief of the Public Agencies for completion their duties to implement RTI laws. The book is very simple and comprehensive to understand provisions comparing to the legal text. It provides very clear guidance to the Chief of the Public Agencies how they have to response to the information seekers, how they have to update and protect information and what they have to disclose regularly to inform people.
